First post on this forum. I got an 07 sport edition 4runner in May (a few months ago). I’ve been looking for something with this drivetrain for a while. Started with tundras and my work situation changed, meaning I didn’t need a pick up truck anymore. Sequoia’s are a bit too big and not really my style. After searching for a while I finally found this one.

here’s how it looked when I got it. It has a k&n “cold air” intake and the ultra motor sport rims.

Found these on offer up. Method 701’s with nitto Redon grapplers 265/70r17. $1300 for everything and they still had some of the little rubber nubbies on the tread.

Got a grill insert from custom car grills.com and built the mesh grill. I have an appreciation for body guys. That’s not me…

I did save the v8 badge and am thinking of epoxying it onto the grill. Maybe lower right like it normally it. I used filler primer and a paint match company that sells the spray cans. I think I need to do a few more sanding, color and clear coats. It’ll do for now.

Here is the list, approx. cost and what phase I’ll do it in. The rims and tires weren’t planned, but were a great deal so I got em out of order.

Looks great! How many miles are on it? You have a solid list there. How’s the paint and interior quality? What’s your ‘purpose’ for the 4Runner? Daily? Weekend warrior?

    Welcome! Truck looks great!
Nice work on the grill and I concur, body work sucks. The guys that are good at it get all the respect from me.

Thanks! 147,000, $16500 before tax title and all the bs. Some small scuffs on the rear bumper, but over all good shape. Apparently owned to take an old ladies dogs out, so there was dog hair, but the smell was easy to get rid of. Its purpose is a family camper and tow rig. I have a decently built Jeep tj that this could tow to Moab or the rubicon trail. So I guess, light overlander (car camper), tow rig, daily driver.
