Just ordered 2019 4Runner Limited Nightshade

The NightShade is a blacked out limited, and will only be available in black leather. You get the same features as the limited, and the same look but everything is blacked out from the logos, wheels and chrome accents on the front and rear bumper.

Instead of wood trim inside, you get almost a dark metal look, like graphite. You still get the sunroof, BLIS, JBL upgraded radio with the heated/cooled seats. If you want to see the interior, just look at a regular limited with black perforated leather.

Thanks...I picked mine up on Saturday. Do you know how many will be available? I had a few dealers tell me they were only getting one and one dealer said he had multiple coming in over the next few weeks.

Picked mine up on Wednesday. The dealer received one black, one white, and one gray (mine). I've always had two complaints about the Limited: wheels and chrome. The Nightshade fixes both issues for me.

 

I am new to the club, but not to 4 Runners. This is my 4th, my oldest son has a 2015 SR5 in gray. I am giving my youngest my 2006 (black) SR5, and I pick up my new 2019 Nightshade in gray on Monday. I thought I wanted black, but when I saw it in gray I liked it better. They also added running boards, and no disrespect to those with the running boards that are chrome on the sides, but why in the hell would they add those on? It's supposed to be blacked out, not chrome. I told them I would take the 4 Runner in gray (only one they had) if they took them off and lowered the price. They did it. If we want them I may add some later. You can't go wrong with a 4 Runner.

 

I’m blacking out the chrome. Adding limo tint. The power boards I tried to add wouldn’t work with the tire/lift kit.

If you want a blacked out truck....why get it in gray?

So this is from Toyota? And they couldn’t even make the Toyota emblem black... it stands out like a sore thumb. Especially on the back when everything else is blacked out. I bet they use the new emblems which are like a giant clear plastic sticker like on the 2018 Tacoma and Tundra so you can’t black it out.

 

I wonder are the door handles painted black or are they covers?

 

Doug I think it looks better in gray. The point is if they blacked out all the chrome why would they put running boards on with a big chrome strip down the side?

My emblems front and back are black. That’s how it came. And the running boards came all black. The custom work I did made the auto running boards not fit. So I’m adding black to the parts that are chrome. And the dealer is paying for it.

 

Gotta be the lamest name for a appearance package from Toyota yet!

Lol, Little Man broke in the ride by dumping Sprite everywhere. Luckily we were at the dealership and they re-detailed it.

Regarding the running boards, I got the automatic ones which are great but a bit loud.

 

Sprite you say...sounds like new husks or weathertech to me.

@jhorst11 - What kind of deal did Toyota of Lake City give you on your Nightshade?

 

Nothing major planned yet. I'd love some beefier tires on it down the line but will probably run on these for now. My initial thoughts was to rework the entire front end to be more aggressive/Trd pro-like, I need to mull on that for a while.. even though the blacked out front chrome is nicer than it was, I'm still not a huge fan.

 

looks good man what about a 4eunner decal across it? might change it up enough to like it. idk just an idea
