Bear with me, new to mechanic world and working on cars myself, etc. My exhaust rusted off before and now my muffler is about to go any day now. I need all the parts from tailpipe to after muffler. Where it separates to the two cats and to manifold is fine. I was looking for a 3 chambered muffler, found some debating on (if thats what I want) with just the muffler or the whole system. Help/pointers, on how to go about it, what I need to look for, what I need like do I get the other parts somehwere rlse then the muffler? Does it all have to be one? Sorry it’s a dumb question and if it’s self explanatory I’m just confused and really need one

I hate it when that happens! So, do you think you'll also need a y-pipe? That's near as much as a cat-back system...BUT it does improve everything...I chose to not need one and only want one but I went with a side exit exhaust from Gibson...easy to install and sounds incredible, even with the 6!

I just would need the circled part. The other picture was a before picture that I fixed so I don’t need that. And a side exhaust never crossed my mind haha, I’ll have to look more into that, thanks!

The Gibson part number and photo above will work for you...there is also a straight out the back option as well...you smell less emissions with the rear window down when it shoots to the side, for reference. You just need the typical cat-back system...

Side exit exhaust would be great so you don't melt anything attached to your trailer hitch. My parents (since i bought my 4runner from them) used to have one of those trailer hitch baskets to carry additional loads and the exhaust shooting out the back melted some stuff that was right behind the exhaust exit during long road trips.
