Quick question, does your rear seat makes rattling noise when going over bumpy road? When they are empty, I could see mine vibrate in the rear view mirror, and they start hitting each other around where they split to fold and making rattling noise. Mildly annoying and strange to see so much movement. I had almost the same rear seat setup on Outback and it never made any noises driving over the same bad roads.

Never heard about it before, maybe seats are not fully seated in the latches which secure them to the floor or those latches got loose somehow.

Besides this, check on whether they're partially reclined but not fully clicked in. Or someone may have pushed the release to recline them and just left it that way.

Yes, mine make a slight rattling noise when up, most noticeably the 60 side of the 60/40 split.

Both suggestions are good, but I’ve made sure the seats are secure, not reclined, slightly reclined and they are fully secured but the noise, for me, persists. You might have better luck.

I’ve tried nearly everything I can imagine to stop the noise, to no avail. The back seats are almost never in use so I lay the 60 side flat and no noise.

If there is someone in the seats in the back it makes no noise. I’m fairly sure it’s something to do with the latch mechanism rattling when it’s latched.

Mine squeak when my dog or a person is vack there and we go over a bump. Super annoying. Thanks for bringing this up. Going to use some grease when re-assembling since I have it all apart now. See if that helps.
