After 29K miles of neglect mine looked like this. Not show-worthy, but they looked fine from 20'

I don't know how pretty people want their tires to look, though.

The key to white letters out is keeping them clean. If you keep them clean and use Adams graphene tire dressing, they will look really good.

I agree with those saying it's preference and up to you.

For myself, white letters are a lot like badges and stickers. I don't like any of that stuff.

If you don't go with white letters out, you might as well not run it with tires at all.

So, what do you all use to clean your white letters?
I wanted to see the difference in the look, so I thought I would clean up the white letter side of my one Dunlop that is unusable because it has a nail in the sidewall. I figured, "I can use this Oxy spray spot remover for laundry. this was the result.
How do I add a picture?
It's no loss because the tire is useless and will thrown out or turned into a planter, just never thought that cleaner would remove the white lettering.

When BFG gives me a set of KO's, I'll mount them RWL-out. Hasn't happened yet, so it's RWL-in.

Brother you got the color, white letter out! When I wash, I make 2 passes in each tires with a stiff bristle brush, and then spray them with tire wet. I would do the exact same procedure with black walls. Zero extra maintenance, timeless look.

    WESLEYS BLEECH WHITE
spray fairly heavily on the tire when the tire is dry
    scrub with a brush
    respray it again
    scrub with brush again
    spray it off
DO NOT LET IT DRY ON THE TIRE
The tires will look brand new again

It's actually not Wesleys anymore but Black Magic Bleache-Wite - same great product and works well on wheels too! :bananadance:

Yes. Was dirty with brake grease and road grime of 30,000 miles, but they were definitely white.

Black Magic bought them, and changed the recipe and made it safe for wheels. Its NOT the same great product, which is why it needs to be applied multiple times and scrubbed. If you remember the "ORIGINAL" Wesleys Bleech White you would remember when you spray it on, there would be almost instant brown sludge running off the tires and with no scrubbing you could pressure wash the tire and it look brand new. Now with this new stuff that is safe for wheels, you gotta apply it, scrub it, apply it again, and scrub again, to get the same level of cleanliness as what Wesleys Bleech White did by just spraying it on and pressure washing it off.
But.... Wesleys Bleech White was pretty hard on wheels and you pretty much had to keep it off the wheels.
The new Black Magic Bleche Wite (yes they spelled it weird) is not exactly safe on all wheels, if you let it dry on black powdercoat wheels it will etch them very badly wherever the "run" was. My 4Runner Nightshade wheels are eat up pretty badly from applying it to all 4 tires, by the time i got back around to #1 to start scrubbing it had already started to dry on the wheel after running off the tire, and it ate it up pretty good. This is why now i only do one side at a time. Front and rear wheel on drivers side at one time, apply to both, scrub both, apply to both again, scrub both again, pressure wash off. THEN move to other side and repeat. You cant let it dry on the tire or the wheel or the results are crap.

Just sold this to get a '23 ORP, but my last 3 vehicles have all had KO2s with the white letters facing out. Looked great on all 3, especially the retro-look of the F-150.

I put mine white letters in. I knew it would bother me to see the white letters dirty or scuffed :anonymous:

next i want to swap my chrome lug nuts out for black ones and potentially blackout the red TRD letters

    but thats just me
