HAHAH Im getting rocklights for the dumbest reason. why? I'm turning that $hit on during camping when I need to go to the car at night and need to check if there are snakes under the whip. That happened once already, I woke up the campsite.

Just don't be that guy who uses the light bar on public roads. People seem to think they're just like high beams, and you can just turn them off in response to oncoming traffic. I crossed paths with a guy like that a couple weeks ago. He flicked them off almost immediately, but I had to stop in the highway while I waited for my vision to come back.

False. Roof lights and ditch lights can serve a purpose. Raptor lights are only for looks.

I use my ditch lights on trails.

Also, a big ass light bar on your front bumper is way more lame than a light bar on your roof rack.

Lol, not exactly. To light the vicinity, really. I thought they were silly until I got some and actually used them. As mentioned in that other thread, they might not be functional in the exact way some people expect them to be. But, they are great great for seeing your surroundings better at night.

Those people are definitely assholes. I have been tempted to turn on my ditch lights to return the favor, but knowing how bright they are I do not want to cause an accident or get my ass kicked

Another thing to consider is the mounting location of the roof LED light bar.
If it were mounted as close to the roof as possible, like within a half inch and mounted 'X' inches behind the top of the windshield, the roof line could possibly create a shadow effect on the hood. Thus reducing glare.
Beam pattern and width also a must do consideration.

That's almost my best at eyeball engineering.

I run Piaa Yellow fogs behind the lower grill on a home fab mount.
And happily no light bars for our slow-runner.
