Is it worth sticking with Toyota OEM fuses? Or are fuses by other manufacturers equal in quality. I need a 7.5 low profile mini blade fuse for my dead OBD port.

Also, what are the most common fuses I should carry as spares?

I'm also interested in the consensus on this.

I think it would be pretty hard not to mess up a fuse so long as you're not buying at a price that seems far, far, far too good to be true. Fuses have been around forever. I'm sure they really have it down now and fuses are super easy to make.

I’d toss in any matching spec fuse from a reputable seller without a second thought.

I'm sure Bussman fuses are just as good as Toyotas. A metal link inside a plastic case is hard to screw up. Doubt it the quality of the metal is any better. Both have federal regulations to adhere to.

Dollar Tree brand may be sketch.

I always have spares in my truck tool box.

I think the only thing might be wrong with fuse is that wire inside doesn't match ampere rating and it can withstand more amperes then it's supposed to. But if fuses come a reputable manufactured I think it should be as good as Toyota ones.

All fuses have time-current curves. All fuses have classes. These are the standards that engineers use to apply fuses. Fuses of the same amperage and class are interchangeable. Buy a name brand from a reputable dealer and you're golden...
