    Welcome to Project Obsidian.

I own a small design build overland company called 36 Degrees North Overland this 4runner is going to serve as our shop rig and family adventure rig. The business credo is design build explore and what better platform then a 3rd gen T4R.

The starting point, good, bad, and the hacked

    Exterior and suspension:
    ARB front bumper
    Badlands 8000 lbs winch
    IFP Lights
    Safari Snorkel
    Cut fenders
some cobbled together 3inch spacer lift and no name struts
    trashed passanger side CV boot
Vison 18inch wheels and 275/65 golander mts, no tread on the inside front edge from the lift and no alignment
OME 891 coils and OME shocks
hacked fenders and cut seam will need to weld the inner fender back to the body skin
KMA/TAG rear swing out bumper with welded on d rings and no bearings in the swing out pivot

    Interior:
    smoked out
    trashed leather seats and carpet
steering wheel down to metal in most places
most clips missing holding the center console together
total hack wiring, live amp feed off battery no fuse and the live end just electrical taped over (removed)
    sunroof not functional

Phase 1 plans; make it safe.
Replace the wheels and tires with a set of 3rd gen Tacoma 5 spoke steel wheels with good 265/70r16 tires (will be replaced with 255/85/16 down the road)
    remove any hack wiring
new pass side front CV axle. current one will get new boots and become trail spare
replace the front seats and steering wheel
    tundra calipers and rotor upgrade
new UCAs and front lift, not sure if I'll go OME or coil over yet
re weld rear inner fended to body and plug holes from the old flairs and cladding
new carpet up front bed lined rear.
replace bearing and races for swing out.

    The design page.

    Products ideas and concepts.

Working a multi option rear drawer and platform system. I am hoping to have this as full set of build plans in the new future.

A DIY front coil over mount to run your preferred coil over and spring set up. I've never been a fan of the packaged coil over options this will let you run what ever body you want.

The main bread and butter for my business has been custom designed molle panels for odd or unique spaces. currently playing around with one for the small cubby door

    new axle

Also stated to un hack the wiring. pulled out the old amp power feed that didn't have a fuse, was wired right to the battery and had the live end just wrapped in electrical tape

Also removed the old and pealing decals from the back glass.

Waiting on tundra calipers rotors and new brake lines before starting to rebuild the front end. Also need to soak what's left of the old bearings on the swing out spindle to get them pulled off and replaced. will probably also add a 90* and 160* swing stops as well.
