Quick question for the crowd. I am going to sell my 2006 Limited 4Runner (2wd) with 305k miles. It has the leather and a V8. This thing has been unbelievably reliable and I hate to part ways with it but it is now time to get a new vehicle. If my daughter was older, i would keep it for her.

Long story short, the thing drives great. Suspension, steering, and transmission are all still tight and smooth. There is some paint chipping on the bumpers and some faded paint on the hood. I had the sun roof disconnected and the woofer is blown. Everything else is in working order.

It does have new Nitto grappler A/T tires and is just a rock solid vehicle and still looks good.

What can i get for this thing if i list it for sale privately?

Anyone will tell you, it depends. I'd do some quick market research for your area and see if anything similar is out there for sale. I personally wouldn't bother with like KBB, as i think it will undervalue your vehicle compared to what they are actually selling for. Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, local dealers. Wherever you live, pricing may vary greatly from where I live, so its tough to just give you a single answer.

With that said, even with the miles, the v8's seem to command a premium. The 2wd will hurt pricing a bit compared to a 4wd. I'm just throwing like a random number out, but in the $6-8k ballpark?

That’s exactly what I was thinking, probably closer to $6000.
