How much is my 4Runner worth?

I’m trying to sell my 2000 SR5 4 runner. We just replaced the battery but then the alternator went out causing the battery to die. Battery is under warrant. There is a leak on the transmission coming from the pan gasket and output shaft seal.
230 K miles
2wd
Clean title
Minor body damage on right side and right back corner (picture below in comments)
Good motor, good tires, working A/C
Leather seats but front two are torn so they are covered with some seat covers. Back leather seats are scratched
Had a mechanic come and look at it and he said 1200 but that seems very low to me.

 

As much as someone would pay, I'm guessing $3,500.

 

I agree. Frame damage, seals, high mileage, and 2WD. Not much re-sale value! Maybe $5k ????

 

If it was 4x4 youd have people knocking down your door. 2wd is a harder sell

 

$1200 is low, but not far off depending on where you are located. No 4x4 is a bummer. 4k at most IMO

 

Don't know with all it needs and high mileage! My 2019 has about 39K miles on it!

 

2WD and Frame Damage will make it just... "an old beat up car" but, that photo you sent looks good, that's just credit to how nice the 3rd gens were.

Do you mean "body damage"? A dent in a panel is a lot different than a bent frame

Noooooooooooooow I see why he offered you $1200. Yeah. It's worth maybe $200 more, if you're lucky. But with 2wheel drive, body damage, frame damage, rust and high mileage........be thankful for any offer you get.

 

I don't think she meant to say frame damage now that she showed the photo, just a fender-bender. To me that makes it an okay $4k ride max, no more than that because its 2WD.

 

Frame damage.. 230k odo.. this is not a rare vehicle. Would be on the KBB’s fair to poor price range.

OP; just list it.. adjust the price accordingly based on market interest.. why even waste time asking?
