What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

Agreed. That's why I keep coming back to Merus.

The weather is tough in the panhandle and it will certainly test your equipment. The trails are as tough as you want them to be. Meaning you have the easy green/ blue trails all the way to some very gnarly black or double black trails.

I was wheeling along side a custom 350 swapped Tacoma on 40's. These trails even tested his rig quite a bit. Very fun stuff.

 

Did my first time off road with fully(?) Stock orm 4 runner. Bought a rig a month ago and have long scratch like snake from passenger side door handle thru back of the tail light.

Went to Tahuya OHV park and got lost and it was very windy and we met no one along the trails. By the time me and my wife started to worry little bit we met a owner of classic land cruiser owner(don't even know which edition but it was very classy) and he guided us out of trail.

Feel sad but feel good at the same time. Didn't have to pay the money for the new mark.

 

Scratched the crap out of it! Won't be the last time but the first one's hurt a little.

Sweet! We are good friends with the Merus Staff and trail guides. They always treat us right and we enjoy wheeling and camping in the canyon with our 4Runners and Tacoma!

A very flat tire after a 14-hour shift.



That won't come out, as if a burr were keeping it from being pulled out. So I shoved it in and patched the tire to find a Llanteria the next day.



Huh, how did that get in there? The amount of force must have been incredible.

 

I'd rather have a few pinstripes on the truck than not find out what's around the corner.

These flat tire posts have me rethinking sticking with SL and not going Load E.

 

A couple of the nastiest road-trash punctures I ever got were on Phoenix highways.

 

AZ highways have been the worst by far as far as that and stone chips in the windshield go! Traffic has been Western WA

 

I tried the ones that just cover the chrome section, I couldn't get them to fit at ALL!

 

I’ve seen places here that mount those tire weights on alloy rims. They are met to be mounted on steel rims only. Because of which, they tend to fall off since they really aren’t design for that so I’m guessing you’ll see those bad boys on the roads because cheap tire shops run out if the correct ones and use those instead!!

No joke. Back in the early 90’s, when I lived out there for a few years, I remember replacing three windshields in 12 mos…crazy. I can only imagine with construction boom since then how much construction debris e.g. nails, screws, etc. is lying around on the roads out there.

 

It looks like your dashboard just opened up and vomited out all its contents!

 

So if you’re ever driving home from vacation in your 4Runner, and a rotten watermelon breaks, and gets gross watermelon juice all over the place, know that you can disassemble the cargo area to clean up the stink. Hypothetically, of course.

The watermelon juice went through the cut in the Husky liner where the tie down hooks are, migrated under the styrofoam below the carpet, and got soaked up into a foam pad. Ick.
