Seat jackers

I have these on my 2015 Tacoma. I’m 99% sure I’ll be getting a 24 4 Runner next week. How do you guys like them in the 4 Runner? Thanks.

 

I had them in my 2021 Tacoma, and needed them. I loved 'em. But when I bought my 2023 4Runner, I found that I didn't need them at all. My hip/leg position is much better. I'm 6' 2" and have long legs, but I don't need seat jackers.

The seating position in the Taco is kind of like a Corvette. Low & flat. Your legs stick almost straight out. The 4Runner is like sitting in your office chair at work. Your knees/legs/hips are positioned better. Your legs won't go to sleep on long drives.

 

I’m 6’0 glad to hear it. Since you came from a Tacoma how’s the back seat for passengers compared to the Tacoma as far as leg room? Generally I adjust the drivers seat to my comfort then sit in the back. The Taco sucks, lol. Thanks.

 

Bro, the back seats in the Taco vs 4Runner are night and day. My Taco could maybe seat a 7yr old comfortably. My 4Runner? A grown up can sit back there and have plenty of room. The first thing I did before I bought my 4Runner:

I sat in the driver seat and adjusted it for my driving position. Then I got in the backseat behind the driver. I had plenty of head, leg, hip and knee room. Oh, one more thing; the back seats in the 4Runner RECLINE! It's awesome.

I'm 6'0". The Seat Jackers were a noticeable improvement for me. Not a lot but it felt better. They also give you a bit of storage under the seats. I have four, 8"- 4x4's, 24 CD's, and a wireless lead dispenser under there.

 

Pretty sure the '24 4Runner has a 4.0L.

Desert Does It - Seat Jackers were a must have for me. Can't imagine owning....let alone driving....the 4Runner without em....I'm 6'5'

 

You can’t tilt the seat enough to help? My 2010 Tacoma seats didn’t tilt so I get why it was needed there

I'm only 5'10" but with long legs and I have them in my 4R. They do give you a wider variety of seating positions on long trips.

 

If the SeatJackers weren't a click away, I'd have made a set. If that wasn't an option, I'd have ended the test drive in the parking lot. But, I knew the SJs were available and ordered them while I was sitting in the office at the dealership waiting for them to finish the paperwork.

I'm 6'0" with (disproportionately) long legs. I HATE seats that sit too flat.

 

Damn 6’5”. Can the passengers ride comfortably with you driving?

 

I’ll be taking them off my Tacoma and using them in the 4 runner.

 

I think you need to get another '15 Tacoma. You're still having withdrawals.

im 6' 5" and i wish i got them way sooner! they are a nice improvement for sure. i also bought a knock off brand for half the price of desert does it.

 

I like mine. Noticeable improvement - especially on longer drives.

 

I am 6'3" and have absolutely no need for seat jackers in my 2024 4runner orp, since it has electric seat and plenty of tilt and lift to offer support for my legs. Probably the sr5 seats without electric adjustments would benefit from jackers but not my orp. Not for me, at least.

 

At 6 foot, I needed the seat jackers in my 3rd gen Tacoma. Before the Tacoma, I had a 5th gen 4runner and didn't really need the seat jackers. I did have power seats though.

I now own a 4th gen 4Runner and honestly, it doesn't need the seat jackers, but I installed them anyway. If for nothing else, they provide room under the seat and a mounting location for a fire extinguisher.

 

To clarify - I have power seats and still needed more tilt. Even with the power seats, if lifting that track wasn't an option, I wouldn't be driving a 4Runner.

 

That's the great thing about mods like the seat jackers. It allows the owner to adjust things to their individual needs. Glad they made enough difference for the 4Runner to work for you.

 

I bought a set but didn’t really see the benefit of them. Glad I didn’t spend the crazy money on DesertDoesIt. I bought a knockoff set and the fit and finish of them was fine.
Anyone that wants to try them can have em. 35$ shipped. Brand new, I had them in for a week tops.
