So I recently noticed the immobilizer light blinking (I had to look up what the light meant in the owner's manual). The light continues to slowly blink even after driving for a while (difficult to photograph so I had to take a screenshot from a video). The owner's manual says the blinking is normal but should stop after the key is inserted into the ignition (see snipping from manual below). My 2018 4Runner has a normal key (not smart key) and it is clearly in the ignition when I am driving. As I am writing this post, I am realizing that my Accessorides remote start may have something to do with this... I have not noticed if the blinking persists when I don't use the remote start. It does not appear to impact the usability of the 4Runner but I wanted to get some insight if anyone else has experienced this. Don't want the immobilizer to leave me stranded one day. Here are a few photos:

I had to take a screenshot of a video to catch the blinking light

Edit for those that come across this in the future:
Figured out it only happens when I use the remote start. Hasn't caused any issues thus far. I'm sure it has something to do with the ECU and how the Accessorides system interacts. I'm not worried about it but who knows what else it impacts.

I’ve never experienced that symptom, but I don’t have a remote start. Many people have posted weird behaviors after installing an aftermarket remote start system. My only concern would be that the immobilizer system has been compromised, hence allowing car thieves an advantage.
