Could you help me. I have 2 options, a 2024 TRD Pro Midnight Black Metallic (Base MSRP $55,170) or a 2024 TRD Off Road Underground (Base MSRP $47,130 -$3135 Off). What do you think? Best option?

Boy, that’s a tough one, mostly because of the price difference. Well, you can see by my avatar which one I chose, but a Midnight Black Pro at I’m assuming MSRP, that’s a tough call. A Pro will hold its value much better in the long run and if your not hurting for cash then get the Pro. Welcome JR to the forum from San Diego.

    - A whole 4Runner + $11k extra in your pocket. And a better color.
    - A whole 4Runner with owing a bank an additional $11k for literally, nothing better.

    Easiest choice in the world.

I haven't driven the 2024 Off Road but I had a 2018 OR and traded for the the 2024 Pro. Comparing both stock, TRD PRO out handles the OR, not even close.

That is a tough call. Not knowing you- what do you want to do with your T4R in the short term and long term? Off-road, over landing, camping, roadtrip, mall- crawl, etc- Both vehicles are great rides- all T4Rs are great rides. To your ask, the two have some similarity in some ways and different in others. How much will you mod? My wife has a TRD off road. Perfect all around. She doesn’t want to mod it, until our youngest can drive. We live in the mountain in CO in she loves it in the snow.

    I’d say TRD off road.
You would have-more flexibility in the long-term

welcome. It all depends if softex, mirror signals and dual zone climate is worth over $10K to you.

I was also looking at a ‘24 Pro, but the dealer said they had to add a $5000 “market adjustment” to the cost (on top of all the other add-ons!), which ended up pushing it out of my price range. I ended up with a ‘22 Pro in Midnight Black. I think the Pro has a much more distinctive look than the other trim levels. I know a lot of people like the new Underground color, but to me it’s drab. I love the Midnight Black with the blue metal-flake mixed in.

In the end I decided on the 2024 4Runner TRD Pro Midnight Black Metallic with a $700 monthly lease, I don't have time for Mods and I think it fits well with what I want. Thanks for your comments….

Definitely the TRD Off Road, without a doubt.

Take the Off Road, then take the money you save and put it into some Elka shocks, after the Elka shocks you'll have money left over. Welcome from Wisconsin!
