Is it bad to tie the rear differential breather and e-locker together?

Hi Guys! I recently got around to replacing the stock rear differential 1-way breather with a 2-way OEM breather (the one used for the front diff breather) and routed the line up to the gas filler area as many have done on the forums, aka "Scuba Mod". I also used a tee connector and tied the smaller e-locker breather to this common line as a simple common breather.

But, now I am paranoid that the smelly diff oil is going to contaminate important electrical things on the "dry" side of the differential carrier and cause me issues with the e-locker. My logic is that Toyota spends precious money on separate breathers for the rear e-locker (separate from diff breather) and front actuator (separate from front diff breather), so if Toyota spends the extra money there must be a reason.

Does anyone know if this is a valid concern? Am I wrong to assume the e-locker breather is somehow "dry" and separate from the gear oil fumes? I dont really know what the internals look like in the differential carrier or e-locker motor area and how the breather is connected internally. Thanks!

    Hey @Gripster & @java ,
I have never smelled anything inside my cabin from the Scuba Mod. 7 yrs. in my 2014, now 3.5 yrs. in my 21
Also, there are multiple people from the FJ forums that were doing this and never have I read anyone having issues with the e-Locker system from tying the breather lines together.
Now, if concerned, you could always run a separate line.

Thanks for the bump. I actually bought the bits to untie them and run separately but have not gotten around to doing it yet. I still will for peace of mind.

Thanks. Encouraged, I routed inside the jack compartment as well.
