i like to sleep in the back with the windows open but bugs! EEEEK! are there some minimalistic screens that can just magnetically stick on the door frame?

There are a number of nets that stretch over the window frame. I use some from Luno, but there are cheaper ones on Amazon. I also have a cheap magnetic sunroof screen from Amazon that works pretty well.

    Luno has some nice ones.
Pricey but good quality and simple.
The side door ones would be easy to find a cheaper solution for, but the back window screen from them is quite nice.

I second the cheap ones from Amazon. I got a pair for less than 20 bucks that work great and have lasted 3 seasons and counting. I also have the sunroof screen.

I've also seen a magnetic one for the rear window, it was around $70 or so.

No need to spend any more than that for screens.

These sleeve-like screens only work on the rear doors. They are elastic on the bottom so they are nice and snug on the square rear door frame. The front doors are sloped toward the top so they would tend to slide up and not really work.

I got the sock-style ones from Luno when they were on sale when I was buying the rear window screen, which is great. As others have pointed out, there are ways to make any of these magnetic screens at home but I don't have sewing skills and I didn't want to use tape for for something that I am going to take on and off but mostly store scrunched up. I like the fit and finish of it and they just came out with a matching sunroof screen, which I am probably going to get. There are also cheaper versions of this on Amazon and eBay but it's not too expensive with a discount. FWIW, I did try the gutter screen hack and I think the socks are preferable unless one knows they're going to be sleeping in rain, in which case, I think one needs to rig something smaller to fit in a crack under some side wind deflectors or the rear spoiler.

My DIY rear window screens are made from a Luan plywood slightly thinner than the passenger window glass. Carefully cut & sanded to fit inside the frame with window down. Center cut out has plastic mesh screen glued to wood.
I lower window, insert screen(with door open), bump window up until screen is in place.IMG_8274.jpg
