    Hey Folks,

When I was young and thought I knew everything, during one of my walk-abouts I encountered a very old wise man living in a galaxy far, far away. He said- Grasshopper, always remember this, In a group never try to compete with the smartest one, lay back a listen. You will learn more.

He also advised that no matter how skilled you become during you journeys never hesitate to ask for any input when starting a project for the first time. His advise has served me well…..

So,,,, this project I need to remove the two grill parts that the red arrows are showing. Any tips, tricks, or cautions would be greatly appreciated and a large help…..!

The lower grille and the valance? Take off the front bumper cover to expose them. Lots of videos on doing that. Most of those videos were made pre -TSS, so they don't show the radar unit in the lower grille. That has two 10mm bolts that hold it to a bracket, and a plug, all of which need to be undone. Those videos also don't generally show fog light disconnect, which on your model is one plug on the driver's side, behind the fog light, and accessible from underneath while the bumper is still on the vehicle. Unclip it first thing you do because the wiring isn't very long and you will strain it by pulling off the bumper without unclipping it first. Other than that it's just clips and tabs and screws to remove your two parts, all of which are common sense once exposed with the bumper cover off.

Edit -- if you are pointing at the TSS only, then I think that's integral to the lower grille and can't be removed from the grille (?). I didn't really pay attention when I had my bumper off.

Hey Guys,,,, Good stuff. Should provide enough info to get me in trouble. Just kidding. Went through front bumper stuff putting driving lights on my old Tundra. Oh, #3 item push pin on sparksparts.com shows an incorrect item. I'm sure to need a couple during all this. I'll find the somewhere else.

I'm just leery about how close the the PCS stuff in the grill I can get with my 6 3/4" Heli lights without cause issues. PCS should really be called 'POS' I wish I could permanently turn it off.

    Thank for the excellent posts...!!
