Was poking around my 4runner and noticed I could see right into the engine bay from the wheel well. This didn't seem right to me. Am I missing some splash guards?

I’m also running the Ark guards…buy once cry once. The material of the factory guards is inferior and after prolonged exposure to the elements and heat cycles it becomes brittle and doesn’t take much for them to tear. The Ark guards will last for the life of the vehicle, then some.

Cool. I didn't realize there was such a product. Glad to spot this post. I see now that my rinky dink factory splash guards are in place, but I just ordered a set of these ARK splash guards for my 2022 SR5 Premium 4WD. Be advised you need to select a size depending on how much body lift (or not) that you've done to your vehicle. I chose the 1.5" front body lift specification, since I had my local off-road shop install a set of Bilstein 5100 series front shocks recently to lift the front end a bit. I'll report back here after my package arrives and I've gotten the new splash shields installed, as to how I like them.

I would call them and change to no body lift as it sounds like you have a suspension lift on your truck. I am running a 1” body lift on my Tacoma and they called me before cutting them to confirm I did indeed have a body lift, so they might call you, but I’d probably reach out to be safe

This can be a bit confusing, but a body lift actually raises the cab of the vehicle off the frame, unlike a suspension lift. That’s the main reason there’s a difference in the splash guard sizes.

Well crap. It looks like I screwed up my order up then. I checked their website, but I can't find their phone number for them anywhere on their site. On top of that, I just checked my order. It looks like the order has shipped already. They haven't called me. I guess I'll have to use what I got coming. Nuts. Worse case scenario, I will hold one of the splash guards up in place and see how it looks. If it looks un-usable, I'll see if I can return the order. Nuts. Again, I did not spot their phone number on their site. Does anyone have their contact number?

Since you put the option for body lift, your splash guards may come down too far. I think if someone were to make this mistake, at least it was this one. Your guards may just come with too much material on the ground side, where you could probably cut to fit yourself. The other mistake, ordering a non-body lift guard when you do have a body lift would then leave open space between your frame and the bottom edge of the guard, i think? Maybe they can just exchange them, you may have to pay for return shipping or something.

All righty! I'm back with an update. I got my order error corrected! I couldn't find their phone number, but they have that message box thingy on their website. I communicated with them through leaving them a message on that. It turns out that my order hadn't shipped yet. A shipping label was created including the tracking number, but the actual merch hadn't yet shipped. They saw my message in time, and replied back to me in acknowledgement, that they would now change my order to the proper size splash shields. Woo-Hoo! Lucky. I messaged back thanking them and apologized for "steering" them wrong. Rum Dum me.

A big shout out THANK YOU to BassAckwards above, for alerting me to my screw up.

Installed mine tonight, fairly straight forward. One hole didn’t line up on both passenger and drivers side so I’ll have to drill a new hole tomorrow. The directions do say this can occur.

One area of the splashguards one both sides didn’t seem to line up at all so I tucked them inwards. I’ll take a photo tomorrow as it got too dark when I finished. The area rear-side of the spring.

^There should be a hole on the side of the shock tower for the plastic push clip.
