I would ask them to do that, but it might be considered regular wear or maintanance, and might not be covered by the warranty, so ironically it might cost you the same, or more if they would rather sell you a whole driveshaft. But, if that indeed is the problem, a new driveshaft would be the quickest way to solve the problem. If it were me, and I had the luxury of time, I’d try to nurse the original driveshaft back to health by a good greasing job.

I mean, it could be the transmission like they said, but hopefully they can convincingly show it’s the transmission. But saying that something is probably wrong with something on the inside somewhere, isnt all that confidence inspiring. If they’re wrong, you’ve thrown away a perfectly good transmission, and have a rebuilt that might/might not be as good. Make sure you know that they stand behind their work.

If you have the option for a factory rebuilt, do that.

I’m not sure if anyone here cares but I would like to update this thread for someone else in case they ever have the same issue. Especially since I’ve been chasing it since December.

I never got the job done on it I’ve been casually driving it and avoiding the issue as much as possible.

My cel finally gave me some new codes and it was the SLT Shift Solenoid D I’ll be doing that repair soon and I’ll update y’all again!

I think your reliable transmission shop is correct. I have a 2008 model since 2013 and it has been doing the same since I have owned it. I grease propeller shafts often; it does help for some time and then it happens again. I believe the solution is to replace the rear propeller shaft. The issue is caused by shifting transmission and rotational speed of the propeller shaft.
