Suspension Upgrade Advice Sought

    My wife and I own a 2021 TRD Pro that's already fairly heavily modified. Now that the suspension has 54k hard miles on it, it's time to look at upgrading. We wheel pretty hard when we go out out. Mostly rock crawling and obstacles (I try to avoid giant mud holes when possible because I'm too lazy to clean that mess) and we've about maxed out the capabilities of the stock suspension. It's all mostly stock Pro Fox suspension with a Westcott Designs spacer lift with BMC and JBA UCAs and 600lb springs up front. My ideal set up would be the Marlin RCLT, but I'm looking at a minimum of $15k installed, and that's just for the front. It's my wife's daily driver, so I don't really think we're ready to modify to that level yet, especially given the cost and the additional modifications that would probably be necessary, like fender flares, etc.
    After additional research, it looks like to fully take advantage of any long travel kit, I'll be looking at a pretty hefty price tag, and all of them will require the same vehicle modifications, so I'm back to thinking a mid-travel kit may be the way to go. Or maybe buy the LT coilovers and slowly upgrade the vehicle suspension and drivetrain components (this makes me nervous as I feel like I'll definitely snap a tie rod or break something else if I slow roll drivetrain upgrades)? I'm a huge believer the in the "buy once, cry once" philosophy, but I'm just not in a position yet to drop $20k or more on suspension, and the OEM stuff will wear out sooner than I'll have that kind of extra money laying around.
    Final bit of info: I'll be fully kitted out for "overland" style off-roading with a front and rear bumper, winch, RTT, rear drawer system, etc., so I'll be heavy.
    Any advice and input from you folks that have been down this road would be greatly appreciated as I'm new to the suspension game and the amount of options seem damn near endless and has got me turning around in circles.

    I've looked at those set ups. The shop I deal with up here is recommending either a full Icon setup or a Total Chaos setup with the King shocks. They're a distributor for both, so I understand their preference.
    I've heard really good things about the King setups, and my options are somewhat limited up here in AK. Gonna be doing a LOT of reading and YouTube research over the next few weeks and months.

    Keep us in mind for shock options. We've spent quite a long time modifying Fox & King shocks to perform better than how they come from factory by custom valving them and swapping spring rates. We just recently released our own shock line, Ride Shocks. We feel its the best option our of the box. Ride Quality and performance is our #1 goal for these shocks, and boy do they deliver! We can get you dialed in with just shocks or the complete package.

    Highly recommend the Dobinson IMS long travel setup (or Dobinsons MRR if you can swing the extra $$$)

    Very high quality and a ton of spring options depending on how much weight you're adding.

    Front down travel is improved by an inch or two over the stock 4R suspension. The rear is increased by over 6" of downtravel. You'll have to upgrade the rear links and get extended brake lines. But it helps a ton if you're serious about wheeling.

    Gonna sound like a shill here but absolutely talk to Accutune who replied above. You typically want something digressive valved for crawling so Bilstein, Icon, and Falcon are great options that are favorites in the Jeep world. Fox and King are more neutral/progressive for the go-fast crowd so you'll want custom valving to make them more digressive to absorb slow, hard hits. I've seen what Accutune can do in desert trucks and I've seen what they can do in a Gladiator crawler on 40s... I can't think of anywhere I'd order from when I make the jump to 2.5s.

    I have fox 2.5 with adjusters on my tundra and have never touched them once. Get them tuned / valves for your set up and forget about them.

    I got a really good deal through a friend that worked at an off-road shop on the adjusters. I think I paid less than what the non adjusters were. If I were paying full price I don’t think they were worth it. I have a four wheel camper on the back and it’s pretty much always adjusted to the max. I think going with non adjusters and buying through accutune and having them tuned would be a better bang for your buck.

    Some people might use them but for my set up I’ve adjusted them once in 2 years.

    I had a FWC, but it was on a truck. I couldn't get it to work with the 4R.
