I reserved a 2024 limited and it has 3rd row seats. Suppose to pick up in a few weeks. I travel alone and want to camp out of it. Do you know how the 3rd row seats work? Can all of the 2nd and 3rd row seats fold down so I can sleep in the back? Can the 3rd row seats be removed? TIA

Yes the 2nd and third fold flat. No, you don’t want to remove the third row. I got the opportunity to do that a couple years ago when my wife left a gallon of milk in it during summer. It’s not hard if you know what you’re doing, but you don’t gain much by doing so.

I would recommend cutting a piece of plywood to fit where you want to sleep, cover it in carpet to match the interior, and get a blowup mattress to set on top. There’s lots of guys who do this, check out some on YouTube.

We have a 2023 Limited 3 row and 2023 Limited 2 row. The 3 row has a flatter floor for sleeping with both rows folded, but you sacrifice 4” or so of “sleeping” headroom. If I get a second, I’ll snap a couple pics with the seats folded. Enjoy the new 4R!

edit: took some pics - not the best but I hope you get the idea. There are differences between the 2 and 3 row so that swapping parts isn’t so straightforward. It can be done, but the 2 door doesn’t have seat belt anchors and what not. And the 2nd row seat set up is different: on the 3 row the 2nd row seat backs recline. They are fixed on the 2 row. The seat bottoms lift and fold forward on the 2 row, but the 3 row they remain more or less in place. The differences aren’t huge, but they’re noticeable. In the 3rd and 4th pic, look closely at the lip where the rear hatch locks (above the trailer hitch). The Lip on the 3 row is about 4” higher. Hope that helps somewhat.

For solo camping it's flat enough for me with a self inflating mattress.

I had both passenger side seats out for a while but eventually put the middle one back and added a roller floor.

Still not completely sure about keeping the shelf.

If you are going to sleep in it-3rd row allows more headroom. With the passenger front seat pushed all the way forward, you could make a platform to accommodate a 6'4" +/- or so person. Note with 2nd and 3rd row folded down, it's not flat. You need a platform and will need to lift the liftgate side of said platform up about 7" to make it level-easy to do.
