NewTRD Off Road Prem just picked up last Friday.......

The Navigation and Multimedia System manual has issues in some of the instructions.

I cannot delete entries in the "Favorites" folder. The screen only offers a "Save" button. Any suggestions would be a great help.

Is there a way to do a 'Factory Reset'?

    Thanks

I think it's under menu button, then you select settings, navigation settings and then you can edit favorites.
it's on page 111 in my Nav manual, but it's not really clear.

2 Select the desired item to be
    edited.
Select to edit the favorites list
    entry name.
    Select to edit location information.
Select to edit the phone number.
Select to change the icon to
    be displayed on the map
    screen. (P.111)
Select to set display of the
    favorites list entry name
    on/off.
    Select to delete the favorites
    list entry.
    3 Select “OK”.

Or delete All favorites on page 110:

    1 Display the navigation settings
    screen. (P.109)
    2 Select “Favorites”.
    3 Select the desired item.
    Select to edit the favorites
    list.
“Add New”: Select to register favorites
    list entries.
    (P.111)
“Sort”: Select to sort (date, name,
    icon) favorite list entries.
“Delete All”: Select to delete all
    favorite list entries.

Scanny is right. You can’t edit or delete favorites from the nav screen.

Menu —> Setup —> on the left scroll down to Navigation —> then select Favorites from the menu —> then select the particular Favorite you want to delete —> press Delete.

    scanny & Captian Spalding,

Both of you are SPOT on. I'm a happy boy now. My wife and pup came out of the closet. They were there hiding most of the day......

So you are working in the front yard on the front yard and can't find something 'cause it's hiding in the bushes in the back yard...... Oh well, at least I'm intimate with the Nav menus.... And that is not a bad thing.

    Large thanks to you both..!

So,,, I'll toss this one at ya--

OK, the auto breaking can be turned off while you are driving, but will come back on next time you start the engine. How can it be 'Off' all the time???

You can’t permanently disable the PCS (Pre-Collision System) but you can reduce the sensitivity using the 5-way toggle on the right side of the steering wheel and the mult-information display. (instructions on pages 98 and 253 of my manual.)

As a side note: I find it helpful to have a pdf version of the manuals. Then they can be searched using a keyword.
