Replaced blower motor. These are images looking upwards in area surrounding blower motor. Question 1: Removed main plastic trim piece and replaced after install but referencing one of the photos attached it seems like there is a missing trim piece? Look how much is still exposed.
Question 2: On the main trim piece I circled two areas which on the inside part of trim piece is a clip that seems like it should snap into something above yet it doesn’t. Sadly the trim piece seems to sag. I have the main trim piece in two slots the ones they add foam to and also the other three metal tabs are snapped into upper plastic slots. Trying the best to describe this. I’ve watched YouTube videos and something seems to of been skipped in those videos or I lack common sense and can’t attach a common piece of trim. Thanks for any insight or for taking a peek under yours to see if it’s as exposed as I am showing in picture. Thank you. IMG_2110.jpg IMG_2111.jpg

Noddles, I was getting an unusual hum at max speed since I bought this used 4Runner a couple months ago. I don't use max speed very often, but I decided to drop the blower motor today and take a look. I found debis in there. The little screwdriver is pointing to what looks like a mummified baby mouse! Anyways, I cleaned it all up, checked the cabin air filter and put it all back together in about 15 minutes total. Working perfectly now!
