umm... no sir... the rods will say bye bye i promise you. The amount of cylinder pressure with that much giggle gas will show you the weak link and you will be able to see the passengers side tire, from the drivers side tire. Meaning you will window the block and be able to see thru it.

600 is their limit stock but that’s not all that impressive.

Yeah, 600 WHP out of a 3.0 is definitely pretty lame. And, built ones making 2000+ WHP is super weak.

want to see slow.. my first car was an 82 Honda. The 0-60 was like 13 seconds….. hehe

The problem is not that this rig is slow in absolute terms, it’s that every other car on the road is so fast- even economy shitboxes. The idiots driving them on the freeway put us in bad spots.

The scenario I hate is when I’m pulling my trailer on the freeway, doing 65 in the right lane… a bunch of yahoos come up the on ramp and pay no attention to what’s in the lane and just blindly merge over assuming I’ll move. My first reaction is change to the left lane to give them space but there is often a line of cars buzzing by at 80 leaving me no escape path. So I’m left with the option of either gunning it and hope I get in front of the idiot entering the freeway without looking, or slam on my brakes and hope I don’t get rear ended by the other idiot tailgating me 5 ft behind.

I will never understand those that complain about the 4Runner being "slow" (it isn't THAT slow). If you want a faster vehicle buy something else. It isn't MEANT to be fast. It's an offroad vehicle that also happens to drive decent on the street. It's like buying a Civic then bitching that it can't haul 16' 2x4s or sheets of plywood.

I have a better idea. Throw in that $10k and get a Lexus GX with the V8.

This is why there should always be 3 lanes, or more.

It's the responsibility of the person merging onto the freeway to find an opening. Nobody should have to let them in. Some ramps are just too short for people to get up to speed, and that's just a bad situation all around.

Part of the problem comes when people are bumper to bumper not leaving any space for traffic to merge.

And, moving into the passing lane to avoid slowing down doesn't make any sense. I see people do it all the time. They don't want to slow down for a second, so they make everyone in the passing lane slow down. o_O

I agree with ALL of this in theory, unfortunately it doesn't work that way in practice a lot of times.

Massachusetts has really OLD east coast infrastructure. Most of our freeways where built during hte Eisenhower interstate project in the 50s and even where its 3 lanes its kinda tight and windy. the on ramps often don't have long lead in paths and just use the right lane as a merge area.. and we have a number of state roads that are semi~highways with limited on/offs, 2 lanes and 50-55 limits.

And the drivers here didn't earn the term "masshole" by accident. When I'm on the freeway, towing or not, I make sure to leave 5-6 car lengths in front of my and will speed up or slow down if somebody sits right in my blind spot to the left or right. Around here if you leave even two car lengths somebody will dive in front of you and go tailgate 5ft behind the car ahead, and on many roads even if the limit is 65 the travel lane is doing 75+ and the left lane is doing 85+. So I move over to the far right to stay out of folks way when Im towing at 65 which leads to the situation above.

And the idiots merging on, half the time they are texting or talking on their phone and just blindly sliding over into the travel lane without looking. And before you say it we are already a hands free state but it never gets enforced...

Not bunched up at all. Just seems so many should have bought a different vehicle if they wanted speed to begin with. Myself I have no issues with it.

Road salt in Pennsylvania is exactly why my ‘23 had a complete IGL undercoat done and we did the same for my wife’s ‘23 Acadia AT4. After the recent winter we took both to our detailer and he told us you couldn’t even tell we drove on salted roads they were so clean underneath.

    Oooh look, another mod.....
The OP can add one of these to his ride to increase HP, but if he doesn't, he better watch out once he hits 88MPH!

umm, I just watched that video and while it’s a good video….. did they leave out injectors step or does this setup not come with injectors?
The dyno graph provided looks like MS Paint, and the numbers are well below what this sort of charger should make with this engine. Sure I’ve read comments and owners seem to like it but the claimed numbers are well below what I was hoping to see. If they’re running stock injectors I can totally understand the numbers, but with stock injectors and this power you’re probably at 95-110% injector duty cycle at WOT. whata say the clan?

Injectors are not the limiter on the Magnuson on the T4R. It’s the fuel pump, you need to upgrade the fuel pump when you install the Magnuson to get more out of it. The Magnuson kit doesn’t come with injectors or a pump, but really all you need is the pump.
