I assume that the 2020+ 4Runners display the tire pressures for each wheel on the dash, and have heard that a 5th wheel can also be displayed by modifying something with Carista or the like. Since I have a 2019, I only have the TPMS idiot light that goes on when a tire is low, which is fine with me, I don't need any other display.

My question is this - for those of you in the TPMS idiot light generation, like me, that have added a matching spare (not you Limited folk, I know you have TPMS on the matching spare), did you add the TPMS sensor also, and will it also work with the idiot light TPMS system, or is that system limited to only sensing 4 wheels?

I've considered adding a matching OR wheel and going with 5 tires when I replace what I have, and am curious how those who have dealt with the TPMS...thanks

It can be done. I think it's tech stream over ride for the non limited models, from everything I've seen /read. But some on the Toyota-4runner.org claim to have gotten it through the re learn process.

If be curious to see if it's re learn capable.
