Getting ready to pull the trigger on a awning for the beach. Any recommendations? Just look for a straight pull out.

I just installed an Overland Vehicle Systems (OVS) 180 awning and am happy with the quality and the price. My only complaint is the rear hatch hits the rear support arm when fully opened, but this is pretty much a problem with every other awning used with the 4Runner, so just anticipate that being an issue if your plan was to leave the rear hatch open when using the awning. In hindsight, considering the 180 hits the rear hatch anyway, I wish I would have gone with a 270 which provides a greater area of shade.

I think most of them will be the same, roughly. I've used a "bag" awning that came on a trailer, and it was super simple. I have a CVT awning that is about the same. I've also used a Fiamma "crank" (winch) awning. It was the best. I think mine was the F45s, but they have other sizes, and you can add a "room" to it.
