    Hey all,

There is a loud humming/buzzing sound that seems to be coming from the engine bay. It is continuous and gets louder as you go faster. Belt was replaced not even a year ago (both serpentine and timing). Checked pulleys and heard no sounds from each one, all seemed good. Ended up turning the steering wheel left and right multiple times and the sound ended up going away. After multiple start ups, i am no longer hearing the sound. Any ideas of what could have caused this?

Sounds like it could be power steering pump related to me if it went away after turning the wheel back and forth several times. Perhaps a good flush for that might help?

You could also pull the belt off and turn the engine on for a few seconds to see if the sound is coming from something on the belt drive. That’s how I’d try to isolate things. Don’t let it run very long if you do this
