I had one in my last car--didn't go as far as integrating the HVAC but it is nice to get around the limitations of Android Auto for full Android. Modern, customizable GUI, up to date software, built in Torque code reading, multiple camera integration, DSP, excellent sound quality, accepted it's own SIM card and micro SD, external GPS, radio, and WiFi antennas, worked as a mobile hotspot, much better maps, and yeah you could watch movies on it in HD.

Overall the 4r radio was a giant step backwards in all aspects. But it looks factory.

I have been looking into replacing my factory radio with something that gives me more. Someone said to look at cartrimhome but not sure going to do a bit more reach first. Knowledge is king so love to hear everyone's thoughts

This is the one I'm looking at I get to keep my factory knows

CTH is a nice reseller and many cool options. But like you said, knowledge is king. Have your list of needed options and cover those. The v12 looks awesome love the moving of the vents out of the way.

I have a friend who had a head unit built out of an ipad in his Raptor. I looked and worked great. It was done by a shop in Orlando that does high end auto customization. I am going to see if they have done one on a 4Runner.

If you like glitches and things that don't work reliably, go with the cheap android tablet disguised as a head unit. Otherwise, get a name brand HU.

That looks way out of place . I went with a smaller screen.
