I’m going through the same thing now. My boy is a couple months from getting his permit and he can’t wait. I always let him drive the forest roads when we hunt. I have an 85 4R and an 88 Subaru Wagon 4wd both 5 speeds that he will be learning to drive a manual on. I figure it’s a good way to keep him from texting and driving, or at least limit it and a great skill to have!

Do share your thoughts on the Grand when you get it. My wife was looking at that for the next one after she gets tired of her latest Honda Pilot in few more years... but she is also thinking going a little more lux for the next round as we will be close to launching the kids out of the nest by then.

We are getting it specifically to fit the kids. Lol. It is a hybrid model, limited trim level, stormcloud color. We need the space as the current situation (tundra + 4runner) is not working

Just installed some BD onX6+ 10” ambers in the upper grille (was a pain in the ass and probably wouldn’t undertake the task again…but I had to be different) and a couple BD LP4s on a DD lower grille bracket. Fogs are BD SAE squadrons

Oil change(not that it needed it, but getting ready for the cross country moving trip in a couple days), cabin and engine air filter replacement. Generally try and do the air filters each oil change, but did a few camping trips this past month and man was it dirty! This one was only 4 weeks old!

I have had the Tyger steps for 6 years, and they have been awesome. I even has a spot of rust at about year 4, and they replaced the set without issue.

Finally had a chance to get my OEM LED headlights and harnesses installed today. Had to get custom pigtails made and connected which I was very nervous about goofing up. Everything came apart easily and BOOM all lights work!

Only hiccup was when I went to turn the 4R on after everything was back together and it immediately stalled and died. Pucker moment for sure but restarted and all systems good. Took it for a quick drive to make sure everything functioned correctly.

    @STrooper
@daveeasa thanks for the pigtails and making it easy for me.

Will do. I received the adapter yesterday and it seems REALLY well made (imo). Amazon link below, if the forum software allows it (otherwise search for "PowerworksOil Filter Drain Tool Oil Filter Release Hose Tube Pipe Fit for Toyota" and that should get you there.

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088LX23ZC?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

It's a 3rd gen, but here is a link to a video that shows this adapter design. Should be significantly easier.

Meant to post this earlier this week, but my Rocktrix wheels came in.

To be exact, 3 out 4 did. With the holiday weekend, stuff got delayed. No prob. But I checked the shipping status past few days for last wheel, and this thing has seen more of the country than I have.

It made it's way to Memphis. And then for whatever reason, it went to Pennsylvania.

Yall, I LITERALLY live 20 mins from Memphis. FedEx HQ.

    Gotta love shipping.

    Oooh look, another mod.....

I only know of two companies that make pop-ups: Jayco & Forest River. FR has a lot more options/floor plans. Actually, scratch that. Jayco doesn't make popups anymore. But even the used ones are great quality. I had one for almost 10yrs.

Have both the Motiv filter wrench and Blue funnel that are tops in my book. This filter drain nozzle hokey-pokey seems beneath even Toyota engineer apprentice status. $15 to rectify no brainer if your experience positive.

Its the 206stse & its from Roberts Sales in Denver. Super nice, roomy and happy I bought new. I bought a 2022 model never registered.
    https://www.robertssales.com/sales/model_pages/flagstaff_206stse.html

I love the "L" sofa around the table. Queen Bunk and the Double Bunks are pretty big. STSE model means storage truck on the front & sports enthusiast package with the diamond plate & 15" wheels/lift. Has a 19,000 btu furance but I didn't get AC. Don't need it here in Colorado. 30 amp, heated mattress, 200 watt solar & 1000 w inverter, 2 20lbs propane & 27 marine battery. Frig sucks and we used my Iceco frig. Hopefully I get time to flush it this week. Has a 6 gal water heater & a 20 gal tank. I think the most expensive part was booking all the trips to use it - Jellystone & KOA aren't cheap!!

I guess Roberts Sales gets special treatment from Forrest River. Technically its a Flagstaff but yes Forrest River makes everything now a days. We love that Roberts Sales also rents these so ppl can rent it out before buying. We have 4 more trips planned and I would also like to go to South Dakota & see Deadwood!
    https://forestriverinc.com/rvs/flagstaff-sports-enthusiast-package
Forrest River has a great 3D Model on their page of my unit.
