    What’s up community?
I recently just purchased a 96 4Runner not 4x4 for my son. And I’m looking to add a 3 inch lift any recommendations?

    3 in bilstine lift
I did a bilstien front and rear 3” and I love it! I need to upgrade my front upper control arms to soften the joist but I don’t even notice unless I mash a speed bump tbh ik this forum doesn’t like the 3” lift but i personally think it’s great and have no issues. (Also a RWD)

This is a 3 inch lift and a good reason not to have fender flares.IMG_0214.jpg33's I think he said.

see the offset of the rims nice and wide cause you raise the center of gravity. they roll

Some people want tall verse wide. I mean LOOK how far they hang out. And people ride the fog lines here.

For 4x4s you have a severe CV angle and it can pop out and also shred CV boots.

It also taxes your LBJs more.

It messes with the suspension geometry which can cause alignment headaches.

So, it's usually recommended to stay around 2.5 to just avoid those issues. YMMV

If you want a 3" lift or higher, just get a solid axle rig.
