I'm about ready to pull the trigger on ordering this OBD scanner for my 2021 4runner TRD OR. This OBDLink MX+ OBD2 Bluetooth Scanner (see link below) is supposed to work with my model year and can work with iphone and others. What do you guys think? Had any experience with this? It's a pricey when comparing to others but the fact that it works with a host of devices to broadcast to is amazing. Many only work with Android but this works with Android and iphone. I'm have a need for this 'cuz I returned my other scanner that I used one day but it didn't link with my vehicle very well.

    Here's the unit I think I like:
    https://www.amazon.com/OBDLink-Bluetooth-Professional-Grade-Diagnostic-Performance/dp/B07JFRFJG6

I need this to monitor transmission temp (among other things) cuz I'll be hauling a small travel trailer occasionally (3000 lbs). Plus it makes sense to monitor the temp before bothering to buy a transmission cooler until I find I need one.

So what do you experienced folks think? Thanks in advance for the help!!!

I use this for monitoring the ATF. I like it nothing negative to report.

In the past I use ELM327 Bluetooth for live data but I have faced few disconnects. I don't even want to share the link since I don't recommend it.

Now I'm using this low profile wired Scanguage 2 and extremely happy with it.

Even though I don't own this, this is the new model they have Scanguage 3.

If I'm not mistaken Scanguage are the most trusted and reliable monitoring system around the globe.
