    2006 V8 4Runner
Greetings! and thank you for adding me to the forum. I’m on my 2nd 4Runner and am looking to sell it for a lower mileage slightly newer one. I’m wondering what would be a fair price to ask for my current rig.
It’s a 2006 limited V8 with 225,000 miles. It’s in good condition. I’ve always kept it serviced. The pros are that it runs great, mechanically it’s sound. The interior is pretty clean. Almost everything works. It has the premium sound and memory seats. The cons: It has a minor leak in the exhaust manifold, the base of the tailgate is rusting, there is some rust on the underside. The drivers seat is worn through(Where they all wear through). The passenger seats no longer adjusts up and down. In the last few years it’s had shocks, new brakes and brake lines. It’s been a great daily driver and farm work horse.

I’d appreciate any thoughts on a fair selling price. I’d love to see it go to someone who will keep it going. Many thanks!

Here are some photos. You can see the rust at the bottom of the tailgate. The wheels are peeling, and a few scratches here and there.

Just from what you said I think you probably have frame rust, pics would certainly help.

The rust on the frame is the most important factor on value as that's the worst problem with these T4Rs, just looking at the tow hitch I'm guessing the frame is in bad shape, please show as many photos of the frame/undercarriage as possible!!

The fact that it's a V8 and 4WD is a big plus as they demand a higher value over 4WD with the V6....but we need to know when the timing belt was last replaced.

    Lots…
These posts are always a waste of time. No information necessary to make an assessment. If you’re not sure about a vehicle take it to a qualified mechanic and do due diligence. Smartest move you can make:

    Oooh look, another mod.....
If the rust has made it all the way up to the tailgate and is all over the hitch, then it's probably ALL over the frame...and in serious condition. That, coupled with the 200k mileage and the less than excellent interior condition, you'll probably get around $3 - 5k for it.
