Help 89 4runner

So I have an 89 4runner with a 22re..
A couple things:
1. It used stall out after it got warmed up, when I pushed the clutch in @ stop lights. It's not running anymore. I bought it w/ 374k and don't know if it's the original engine.
The body is near mint and undercoating inside and out. Originally a FL 4runner, I bought it in MO. Only 2 small rust spots on rear rocker panels w/ small holes. Frame....0 rust....all there.

2. When it starts now it just clicks. The lights work, horn, rear sliding window up and down.

I ordered a fuel pump from quantum 340LPH(want better flow). Don't try and talk me out of it lol....DENSO II KNOW...RME!

So I need to get it on the road. I live Texas...land of no rust.

I know on my 90 it is due for starter brushes very soon……maybe that?

Anyone else on why it stalls @ stops when it warms up when I push the clutch in?

 

I’d start with a new fuel filter. Charge up the battery. Clean battery connections. If you can hear the starter click it may not be getting enough juice.
