I just bought a 2024 ORP!!! I bought it pretty bare it looks like, but I don’t care about those minor things though I just wanted to get the 4Runner!! Like it doesn’t have running boards or Predator steps, but that actually helps me because I have rock sliders ordered (won’t get charged for something I’ll just take off). However, there’s also no cargo trunk liners! Do you know which ones are the best to buy? WeatherTechs? Or should I buy Toyota’s? Or someone else? I wanna just buy whichever ones supply the best protection/coverage!

Factory Toyota liner is nothing special....but Ive never tried anything else. I've been eying the canvasback liner. Fabric and Velcros to the cargo area and seat backs. If your wanting to stick with rubber I'd go husky over weathertech. I've used both in other vehicles and prefer the husky. There's probably dozens of Amazon options too. Hopefully others will chime in.

I bought this off Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BFW65J3K?ie=UTF8&th=1

Here's how it looks installed in mine. I bought the cargo & seat back protector.

Ok I just inspected the front and back floor mats. They are Toyota, and definitely better than the basic cloth ones, they are rubber and in the back they also go over the hump. But ugh they FAIL as far as having high raised edges that basically act like a bowl (where a spilled drink, snow and slush, etc would stay contained…no those scenarios would have the stuff spilling out of the parameter and soiling the carpet underneath. Close…but FAIL lol

Interesting, Husky over WeatherTeck, ok. The only memory I have is of people calling them equivalent…ok so I’ll consider Husky better than. I actually didn’t need to think about this the past few vehicles because I was happy with the mats that came with the vehicle the last feet times.

Thanks. I just bought LasFit mats for the front & rear seats a few weeks ago.

Those look great, and never seen the seat back protectors...added to my cart for later

I had Husky liners in my GEN 3 4Runner and replace them with weatherteck and like the WTs better.
In my 3rd GEN the husky liners for the driver side and cargo area sides collapsed and the WTs have held up better and still look good

I took that one on my recent month-long road trip instead of the Toyota one. The Toyota one is fine, but there are plenty of good alternatives.

The LASFITs are great, have had them for about a year now. I stuck with Toyota cargo mat. It fits perfectly, and the quality is much better than their front and backseat mats. It's a harder plastic.

I bought mine on ebay from Autoparts_King88 $56.00 and I'm very pleased with the fit and quality.

I prefer the OEM Toyota rear cargo mat. It’s so easy to pull it out and shake it off. Also washes up more easily than the softer rubber. Just wipe with a wet rag.

Some of the other ones look to me like they don’t always return back to flat after unboxing.

Yeah I do already have the cargo mat as well (but no seat back protectors), it did look decent so I wasn’t sure about even needing to replace that, guess not. That’s exactly what I want, a not so soft rubber with raised lips that can fully catch spills, and can easily be taken out than cleaned than put back. That’s what I would also want for front & rear floor (even if it doesn’t cover the rear hump in the middle).

So were you saying that those back seat protectors in your picture are also Toyota’s, but that you don’t like Toyota’s front and rear floor mats…or were you saying that your back seat protector there is also LASFIT (along with your LASFIT front and rear floor mats)? Yeah that back seat protector looks great.

Borracho's recommendation in post #3 is the only one that covers the gap between the cargo liner and the seat backs. I got those seat back covers too, and I would have bought the cargo mat, but I already had the Toyota one. I would recommend getting that full package, it will match and they work pretty well (especially if you have dogs or something).

IMO, they are all variations of the same cheap plastic, so I'd recommend the one with the most coverage. It also comes with velcro to hold it in place (my biggest complaint with the Toyota one), but you could always add velcro to any of them.

The Husky cargo map seemed particularly cheap to me, I returned it almost immediately. Felt like a plastic milk jug, paper thin and rough edges.

To add to your comment. The cargo mat/seat back combo that I bought has the following "pros":

    1) It covers the gap between the cargo area and back of the rear seat. When I fold the back seat down, it's one continuous coverage area.
    2) It has a velcro type backing, so it doesn't slide around. Once it's in place, it sticks!
    3) The material is textured. Other manufacturers make theirs smooth or smooth-ish. The texture ensures nothing slides around when you put it down. It just stays put.
    4) It's not a hard plastic. It feels more like a rubber, but a flexible rubber. I think (and hope) that means it will last or wear longer.
    5) Easy clean up. When I wash my truck, I can pop open the rear hatch and give it a quick vacuum and wipe it down with a damp towel to make it look new again. It only takes a minute. Easy Peasy.

I have the Husky liner, it is a little flimsy and the edges are a bit rough. I like it for the complete coverage and cutouts for the cargo hooks.

Regarding floormats, I've used Weathertech and OEM. Both worked well, so I assume a cargo liner would also. But, I just use a couple of old Army wool blankets. I got mine free for volunteering at a Veteran's Stand Down event. Got a couple of moth holes but.....so be it! Double as seat covers for a muddy dog. Also nice as an emergency survival item.

New ones are $20-$30 on Amazon, delivered!

I don’t see that you got this already so here you go. I put these in my 2021 and they fit perfectly. I recently moved them to my new 2024 and it was super easy. I consider this a solid product.

I did Husky in my 2022 SR5P, front, rear and cargo. Red arrow shows how I sealed front hold downs with gorilla tape and yellow how I used black silicon caulk to seal the channel at the rear to keep liquid from spilling out on the carpet. Note the cargo fills the spots at the side areas at lift back that the OEM does not. Also they are deeper than most and cover the door sill better than most

This forum is great! Thanks for the help and recommendations, I just went with (ordered) WeatherTech’s front and back floor custom fit mats. And went with Borracho’s recommendation in post #3 due to the reason given in favor of it. I mean that Toyota cargo mat IS nice though, so maybe I could just double up and use on top of the other cargo mat in situations where the risk of some type of spill is increased!

I’ve had 3 sets of weathertechs in 20 years and I’ll keep on buying them. I like that they don’t have deep ridges. They’re so easy to wash with a scrub brush and Simple Green. My current set is daily driven and almost 8 years old and they look almost new after a wash and some 303 protectant.

I just replaced my 14 month old Toyota front mats with Weathertech - big upgrade. I was not happy with the Toyota stock mats. I do still have them in the second row (they are OK and get little use) and the stock cargo mat, which is fine. Weathertech makes really good stuff.

I like these recommendations. I recently bought a 2003 v8 limited and it is missing the two hooks that hold the mat in position, one is missing the metal grommet also. Has anyone ever had the hooks go missing? Do all these aftermarket mats have hook holes for the drivers side?

I also like the Husky cargo liner. I like the option to cut out the tie downs. The only con is that I had to use a heat gun to flatten it down after unboxing. It is easy to wash down and vacuum.

Just a reminder...If you have the pull out cargo tray, it uses a different cargo mat with a cutout for the handle.
