    Finally got my first 4Runner!
    2003 V8 almost 350k miles
Running beautifully with no issues(besides very little battery terminal corrosion), it’s been my daily driver for 2 weeks now. Still working on the interior clean up but I’ll make a thread on this project and add progress there. Had the front seats reupholstered since they were thrashed and slapped some rims on after losing that battle 3 cleanup attempts later. More exciting stuff to come after some small parts replacements I’m doing for good measure. I’ll get her cleaned up first, body, interior and mechanically, then probably start building next year. Couldn’t be happier with it.
First pic is the first time seeing her at her old owners house, second and third pics are after bringing her home with new rims.

Looks great especially with the new wheels. Great choice on style and color!

Welcome! Not to nanny you or anything but with a V8 at 350K, you'll want to know when the timing belt was last changed. I have a V6 (has a chain) but spec on the V8 timing belt is every 90K miles IIRC.

What size tire are those? I think for my next set of tires i'm going to go up to 265/70/17 or maybe even a 285/70/17 Michelin Defender from my current 265/65/17 Michelin Defender.

The 285's are questionable, i don't mind doing the 'fender liner mod' and removing mudflaps, but don't really want to get into a cab mount chop or anything.

I welcome all the help I can get, this is my 1st Toyota let alone Runner. The previous owners did it last at 300k but it’s absolutely on my list of immediate to do’s just to play it safe

They’re 32’s I believe, 265/70s but they rub so I’ll be trimming/removing as well. It’s not so bad that a little trimming won’t fix it it just sounds annoying

They look great, I think you solidified my choice on 265/70/17’s.

My understanding is that there's an inspection plate where you or your shop can take a look at a section of the timing belt. That could influence your decision in terms of when to do it next though as we all know, there are no guarantees.

I think even after a slight lift I’ll keep this size, they really just look like a great fit but I’ll see how I feel after some trimming

I went up to that size in January and am happy with them. Takes some minor trimming/readjustment to the front wheel wells but it’s pretty easy.

My pic at Tennessee’s amazing Windrock Park.

She’s a beaut. I just might tackle the trim tomorrow, everyone’s saying it’s one of those things that’s just so simple they wish they did it sooner. My passengers are looking worried when I turn

    It’s only when I’m cranking a turn, I can’t pinpoint where exactly it’s happening

    Nice rig!

You're probably rubbing if your wheels are offset. Offsets make a wider radius around the spindle. I have some 0 offset wheels with a 1" spacer on 32s with no rubbing. If you don't want to do too much chopping a spacer leveling kit could be the move.
