Auto headlight off not working

    I was just out and the auto off feature on the headlights worked and five minutes later it did not.

    I don’t believe there is a sensor or anything to turn them off.
    I did just have my battery unhooked for some stereo work and I know things like auto window, etc need a reset after that. Do the headlights need that too?

    Well for anyone wondering, I think I found the trick.

    if the lights are turned on while the vehicle is off, they will stay on indefinitely. If you have the lights on (in any position) and you are driving, when you stop, put it in park, exit the vehicle and double click the lock button it will turn off the lights.

    So all in all, they are auto off when the vehicle has been in use. If you touch them afterwards, they become manual off.
