Hey guys! So I have recently gotten my hands on a ROAM Desperado RTT for my Sherpa rack and now after installation have noticed a pretty prevalent whistling noise coming from above. Ive messed with the wind fairing a bit in multiple positions and its done nothing, also tried taping the front, top, and bottom of the front most support strut for the rack, thinking the channels were causing it. I haven't taped the rest, but no real change was noticed after doing this. Anyone with a similar or same setup have this issue? Any recommendations? The wind fairing leaves a small gap between the top of itself and the bottom of the tent, allowing air to pass through slightly, which I don't know if that's normal or not, anyways. Thanks! (ROAM hasnt been very helpful in coming up with a solution to this problem)

Are you using the RTT every day? If not, take the damn thing off. Problem solved.

I have a Sherpa roof rack with a RRT set up. Mine whistled loud. I did a ton of research and found a solution that got rid of the noise. Wrap a rope around the front cross bar. Problem solved for me. Still around 5% whistle when going over 65mph. Just enough for the radio to bury the whistling.

I ran door strip seal across every cross bar before putting the rtt down and it cut back alot of the whistling. That's the 1/8 to 1/4 gap between the tent and bars
