Picked up 2024 TRD ORP before the V6 is gone!

Looking forward to learn more here and talk to you all. Any Maryland/Virginia members here that can refer some light trails to start? I am beginner but would love to explore dirt roads or trails.

Also do these experience any electronics issue down the years? Worth buying extended warranty?

Welcome to the forum! Is that Antwerpen in Clarksville? That's where I bought mine from.

I've had trouble finding decent trails nearby - I usually trek out to Green Ridge State Forest. There are lots of gravel roads where you'd be fine stock. There are a couple of fun trails where you'd probably be fine with stock tires if it's dry. If it's raining you may want to avoid some of those until you get a decent set of all terrains, although I think I could have done them with the stock tires too. Check this out for info about it

As for extended warranty - I opted not to get one because of the 4runner's legendary reliability. I'm at 70k with nothing but routine maintenance. But, I don't have the newer head unit and nanny tech they slapped on in 2020 so time will tell how they fare long term.

Welcome. The extended warranty is a gamble. The dealer is gambling that you will never need to use it, and you’re gambling that if something breaks it’ll pay for itself.

It’s good piece of mind to have it, if spending $1k on it doesn’t bother you.

You also have until 3 years or 36k miles to decide, unless something has changed.

You’re about to have so much fun with your new rig! I passed on the extended warranty, other manufacturers would be a different story, this particular Toyota (4Runner) rated #1 in this months Consumer Reports as the most reliable vehicle you could own, additionally, out of the top 10, 7 were Toyotas. Welcome to the forum from San Diego!

Try Peters Mill Run in VA. It's a Jeep trail but i do this trail every year. Pushes the 4Runner just enough, but pretty easy.

Hi this is actually a dealer in Delaware. They had the red one with specific options I liked. Thank you for your link to trail report. That's the kind of trails I was looking to get started. Good to know you haven't had any issues with the car. I am just mostly worried about the nanny tech lol. It would be annoying to fix them if sensor goes bad and car keeps blinking warning light.

Good to know! I was looking to get it mainly for electronics that are pain to replace.

Thank you! We're looking forward to fun times with this this 4Runner. We bought it mainly for long term reliability as well.

Thanks for suggestion. Will check out Peters Mill Run. We love that area around Shenandoah National Park.

Agreed on Red! Wanted it so much, went to out of state dealer to get it.

Ha, maybe it's just a toyota dealer standard but that picture looks like it's straight outside the showroom of the dealership I went to.

    Welcome to the forum!
