Trolled forums for 2 years before I bought a limited to make sure I knew what I wanted to do to it for my needs, otherwise I was buying a pro .. but I wanted some of the limited’s features but not 20” wheels and was not to fond of its lower stance look.. but thanks to others posts I found what worked for me, Here’s my build result for those who may find it helpful as dedicated threads on limited were less common. Hope to pay it forward. Cheers.

    Interior

    Touch Screen protector
    • Brand: WONDERFULHZ 2020+
    • From: Amazon
    • My Rating: 10/10
    • Would I buy again? Yes

    Center Console tray
    • Brand: JKCOVER
    • From: Amazon
    • My Rating: 6/10
    • Would I buy again? Meh. Prob not.
    • Notes: not a fan of not being able to close the console unless the tray is pushed forward. It slides back a lot and is annoying

    LED INTERIOR Bulbs
    • Brand: AUTOGINE 16 piece LED 6000K
    • From: Amazon
    • My Rating: 8/10
    • Would I buy again? Yes
    • Notes: YouTube various install videos before you do this. Then it’s easy. Bright, might be too much for some. Did not install in vanity.

    Cell phone holder cup mount
    • Brand: CTYBB cup holder cradle
    • From: Amazon
    • My Rating: 7/10
    • Would I buy again? Yes, a tad wobbly tho

    Molle panel and upper Molle
    • Brand: Tac1
    • From: Tac1
    • My Rating: 5/10
    • Would I buy again? Prob not, different brand yes, prob would have done rago
    • Notes: not the best fit as far as angles. had to bend each bracket 20 more degrees, that’s not easy. Also switched out the 1/4 fasteners for M6s, why mix types in a truck that is metric? Rattles. But. I really like the roof Molle for fishing rods. So. Meets my needs. Fasteners droop, and rattle. I’m an engineer and have ocd. This drives me nuts.

    Front camera and rear override
    • Brand: Anytime
    • From: Anytime
    • My Rating: 8/10
    • Would I buy again? Yes

Notes: about a 5hr job if you are anal. Wanderlost overland on YouTube helped research. Put center low. Good fit.

    Exterior

    Tint - Front windows

    • Brand: 3M 20%
    • From: some guy down the street
    • My Rating: 8/10 (decent match)
    • Would I buy again? Yes

    Roof rack

    • Brand: Prinsu, full length no drill
    • From: Prinsu
    • My Rating: 8/10
    • Would I buy again? A rack? Yes. This one? On the fence
    • Notes: modified mounting for no silicone. I made my own mounts with gaskets. I Very much like the prinsu profile vs others. 2” cross bars better for my needs than some others which are 3” a few taps were short, and one of the large fender washers rusted in 1 year. In socal.

    Suspension/ Tires / Wheels / Drivetrain

    Throttle Response Aftermarket

    • Brand: Pedal Commander
    • From: Amazon
    • My Rating: 10/10
    • Would I buy again? Yes
    • Comments: city 2 setting. Game changer

    Suspension

    • Brand: Bilstein 6112/5160 @ 2.75”/2.0” height + SPC UCAs
    • From: Bilstein and OME, via 88Rotors in LA
    • My Rating: 10/10
    • Would I buy again? Yes!
    • Comments: Really like the balance of city/off-road. Was XREAS which honestly was not bad. Super plush on washboards.

    Tires and Wheels

    • Brand: Icon vector 6, Toyo AT3 P285/70R17
    • From: Icon, Toyo via 88Rotors in LA
    • My Rating: 10/10
    • Would I buy again? Yes
    • Comments: quiet, combo same weight as stock. Chose P metric as my usage didn’t need C or E load. Required fender liner mod, mud flap delete, and for me a BMC. I think I could have pushed the caster forward and avoided a BMC but, now any idiot can do an alignment without worry.

OP: Your Limited looks great with those tires and wheels. I just bought a new 2024 Limited a few weeks ago, and I'm still looking and deciding on 17" tires and wheels to replace the stock 20's.

Grandpawmoses: Thanks for the link to that console organizer. I bought the same one as the OP, but the one you linked looks like a definite upgrade.

Looking great. 17” wheels on a limited look better in my opinion.

I like that bumper. You have a shot head on? Who makes it?

That is a C4 bumper with Baja Designs light bar, fogs, and Warm Zeon 10S winch.

C4 makes really we engineered products however they do not powder coat it.

I was originally not interested in c4 because they don't powder coat. After talking to many people having PC damaged in shipping I like the idea of PC local. I have heard nothing but positive reviews on C4 quality.

The other thing with high clearance bumpers is that they expose the washer fluid tank.

Some choose to get a cover for it. In my case I got the Rago tank, which wasn’t totally compatible with the C4.

C4 has a truss that keeps the Rago from dropping into place. Some people have cut out truss material to make room.

But I noticed that i could rotate the tank counter clockwise 90 degrees and wiggle it into place. So I went to Home Depot and made a 90 degree bracket to mount the tank.

Then extend the pump wires and fluid lines to keep it all intact.

This issue comes up with the 100-Series with the reservoir, a bracket, etc. Flat black spray paint doesn't make it invisible, but it does make it much less noticeable – you kinda have to squat down and be looking for it. But, no idea if this applies to the 4Runner.

It is same with 4r. Buddy had to get high clearance cut but not quite a viper cut. I was checking it out and surprised how clean it looked not noticing the tank. It has been sprayed black disguising it.

Thanks for sharing. I like it a lot. Looks good and I’m sure it works well too. I meant to ask you what’s involved with installation? Bolts right up or did it take a few f$cks, $hits and mother F*%kers to install?

    Looks great!

i just got a limited last week. Thinking of putting TRD PRO matte black wheels on it with 255/75r17 tires on it. Not sure how those will work or look as haven’t seen many pictures

did you find your XREAS was plush over washboards or tye bilstein?

The stock setup was ok.. certainly good enough for the 3-4 trips a year in that environment... but the Bilsteins and Toyo Tire combo are fantastic on washboards now.. way better than the XREAS/Stock tires. but direct comparison on shocks may not be a fair comparison as the 20" tires has little sidewall so I suspect I'm getting a plusher ride due to both better shocks and more tire .. there's quite a few places up in the eastern sierras that I go with extended washboard roads, the current setup can maintain speed no problem and is remarkably different that stock
