    Hello,

I'm new here and bought a 2024 4Runner TRD pro last month.

I recently installed the Morimoto XB LED Amber headlights. Everything works fine, EXCEPT the high beams. When I flick the stick only the low beams register. I have the LF531H adapter.

I reached out to Morimoto directly and this what they told say

"Often times the polarity is backwards where the LF531H harness meets the headlight's high beam connector. Specifically, it will be the connector with the red and black wiring. Make sure that red matches to red, and black to black. You'll likely need to flip this connection over to make this match."

Can someone dumb this down and explain this to me? I tried everything from reading and watching videos, but can't seem to figure this out.

    Thanks

Just unplug that LF531H adapter, flip it around and plug back in to the headlight. Test high beams.

Sorry to see you're having trouble. I beat my head against a wall for a couple days till I got mine to work.....same no high beam issue. I really don't remember what I did to get them to work.......I wish I could be more help.

On the upside, once working they are a massive improvement over the OEM and they have been perfect and fog free for more than 6 months now in wet/cold Northern Mi.

They work really great. It’s just the high beams that don’t want to work. Do you have the same adapter ?

Yes I do and I only recall it being able to hook up one way. You don't need to cut or modify anything.

I'll take a look but I'm not sure I can get to it enough to get a picture.

I took the plastic cover off in the engine bay but there is no good way to get a picture and I have everything zip tied into place. It was just plug and play as all of the connectors are specific to each plug.

    I used the 1 x LF531H adapters: https://www.morimotohid.com/toyota-4Runner-XB-headlight-adapter_3?quantity=1

Beyond that, I really don't recall as around the same time I also installed all my other goodies including the Magnuson blower. It was a busy period.

Interesting. I think you and I may have a different adapter. I keep reading online but I can’t find anything and it’s really frustrating lol

That's why it took me a few days to complete my install. I was waiting on the adapter to arrive. I think I have the other adapter in my shop.

From what you said Morimoto told you, it would be the 'From Truck (Highbeam)' connector that needs to be flipped.

I finally got it to work. It turns out one the fuses were blown lol.

However, when I turn them on now they make a loud click noise. You guys think it’s normal?

Gotcha, glad you got it sorted.

That click is the relay and it's normal.

    Hey,

So im guessing these new headlights were overpowered lol and when I checked the H-LP HI fuse it was blown. I believe it’s a 20amp and I replaced again with another 20 and blown again. So I went up 25amp and everything worked as it should. Hope that helps, let me know

So, the fuse was good. When I change between low and high beam there's no difference in the head lights. They have the same amount of light but the fog lights go out in high. Did you have the same issue? Also the wiring diagram doesn't look like what I have. The wires are different colors.
