I thought I'd start a thread for our loyal furbabies that never talk back when we flip someone the bird or tell us that we're going the wrong way, they're just happy to be along for the ride.

We lost a pupper over the holidays, it was just past her 16th birthday, a chocolate rust minpin. Not exactly an ideal hunting dog but she would always protect us from wiper blades any day of the week. An awesome road tripper, just enjoyed the ride and the new smells.

We got a couple new pups recently, a black and rust male minpin and a female king Charles spaniel. We're very excited to see what kind of adventures we'll find ourselves on.

Let's see some pics of the adventures of your fur people!

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your dog. It's never easy, even when you think you're prepared for it.

This made me laugh my ass off! The picture made it even better. It's so funny how they develop their own unique personality traits.

    Enjoy your future road trips!

These 2 spazzes enhanced many camping trips for me over the years! The Rat terrier has since crossed the rainbow bridge. But, the Boston is still living his best life in rural Wisconsin with my ex.

Thanks for the condolences, and yes this screenshot was taken from a video, makes us smile when watching it,..partly because you can see the sun is shining and not a raindrop in the sky haha. Gotta keep the pups entertained too!

Losing a best buddy is so sad….my hound (Ridgeback/hound mix) turned 15 last weekend. He is in decline but still has a pretty good life and will be sorely missed when his time comes. I truly feel for you.
Video when he was 4yrs old….goofy and friendly but a rabbit’s, squirrel’s and lizard’s worst nightmare.
Speed, power and endurance with endless enthusiasm for the hunt.

Our hound, fearless as he is, is just the opposite. He hates getting into any vehicle, even the SxS. He thinks it will bring him to the house of pain(vet). We have arranged in-home hospice care visits & euthanasia as to not stress him out with a vet trip. Our 10yr female lab loves to go for rides though.

I love big dogs, they are wonderful but you gotta admit when you see a smaller dog in 4r they look like a queen or a king with how much space they have haha.

At first we named him blue. Then when he first met my son's dogs as a pup, his way of playing with them was to run into them knocking them over, like a bulldozer...and from then on he became Dozer. Seems to fit.

    Great Thread!

February 9th this year we had to put our buddy (Charlie) down after 10 years. Going on 3 months, there hasn't been a day that we haven't thought about him, talked about him, or teared up and I know we will never forget him. He was our 1st dog and was truly my best friend. He was a people magnet who had to say hello to everyone he possibly could.

When we first adopted him back in 2014, I purchased a used 2001 Infiniti QX4 back and this paved the way for almost 100,000 miles of adventures with our dog which included: 8 Colorado Rockies Games, road trips all over Colorado, Yellowstone Park, Mount Rushmore, Glacier National Park, The Great Salt Lake, Idaho Falls, Las Vegas, San Diego, Phoenix, Albuquerque, 4 Corners, Big Sur, and San Francisco. I'm forever grateful that he was part of our engagement at Bark at the Park and carried our vows for my wife and I for our wedding in San Diego. He was the best dog we could have ever asked for!

I'm saddened that he never got to take a ride in our new 5th gen, but I know he, my wife, and I were grateful for our QX4 that we kept maintained and traveled everywhere in Colorado! We did actually rent vehicles for our long road trips outside of Colorado.

So many memories that we will hold with us the rest of our lives. We love you Charlie!

    August 2014

    July 2023 (Yellowstone National Park)

July 2021 (Ocean Beach, San Diego)

    July 2022 (Big Sur, California)

    July 2022 (San Francisco Bridge)

July 2022 (MGM Grand, Las Vegas)

So sorry for your loss, it is so damn hard to lose a pet (family member really), but they make life so much better. Charlie was such a lucky pup to get to go on all those adventures, can tell he had an amazing life.

I don't think I've ever seen those two things in the same pic before, a husky and a fully intact teddy bear.
