Over here kinda hoping that the Everest ends up being available on non-TH trims. The Taco Trailhunter was advertised with Bronze Oxide and is available on Sport and OR. Afaik, Terra is the exclusive color for 2024 Pro tacos. So there may be hope for non TH Everest fans for 2025!

Full time 4WD is the requirement for my next vehicle, and for the (suspected) price to get that in a 4R (Limited, Platinum?) it will probably be close to the Land Cruiser in price. Honestly, I like the more simple lines on the LC.

I'm right there with you between the Limited, Platinum and Land Cruiser. Full time 4WD (AWD) would be nice for our occasional North Texas icy roads, my deciding point will not be price but legroom and on-road comfort / ride quality. Therefore, I'll through the GX550 in the mix, but really won't know until all four are on the lots and I can drive them on the same day for comparison.

My dealer texted me today. I’m 14th in line for a ORP, and 4th for a Trailhunter. My foreman is 20th for a TH, and offered to buy my spot lol. Both with Everest as the primary option, but she doesn’t have confirmed colors yet.

I’m third on the list for a Trailhunter and 9th for a Pro. I really hope they offer the TH 4Runner in that Bronze Oxide color because as nice as Everest looks, it’s not for me. If Pro I’m probably going to get it in White or Mudbath.

Nori Overtrail would look so nice with a good rack and rock sliders… I just can’t get over the gas mileage. It’s basically as abysmal as the existing outgoing 4.0 V6 but drinks premium. At least it’s far more powerful.

unfortunately my situation is i can only gets toyota's in ND. the nearest lexus dealer is 550 miles away (ND has no dealers period due to not being able to meet lexus min requirements for a dealership, mostly population size of 1 mil within a certain radius, the total state pop is like 780k with the biggest city only being 128k). lexus financial told me if any warranty work needs to be done, it will need to be brought to a lexus dealer. yeah not taking 2 days of vacation to go visit a dealer since it about 1 day of travel 1-way.

luckily toyota has a few vehicles we like so it works out. did miss out on getting a gs350 awd, was really tempted to say screw it, but my sense's came back and i left. havent been back since, which is probably a good thing with the logistics of getting it to a dealer if anything major goes wrong.

toyota has been good to my family since the 80's (dad, mom, me, wife, kids), my dad started with his cressida in the late 70's, mom with her turbo supra in the 80's, me with a used cressida in mid 80's and wife with trucks since the 90's on. kids have bounced around be eventually went back to toyota's.

this next 4runner will probably be my last brand new vehicle since i am within 6 yrs of retirement and if i get one now, i can have it paid off before i start retirement. the wife has 1 more new vehicle purchase before she gets in her window (she's 6yr younger) and yes she makes her own payments out of her own account.

so i might as well get what i want, not what i need :)

so platinum as 1st choice, limited 2nd, grand highlander 3rd, lc250 4th (it will never come to me getting a LC250, but its on the list as a failsafe, just dont really care for the exterior/interior styling plus i dont think this mini LC will last long term selling viability, aka FJ cruiser lifespan)

I’m hoping to get a 6th Gen Pro in underground gray if it carries over to 6th gen. If I can’t get a pro maybe a trial hunter or at the very least a ORP hybrid.

the TH is going to be hard unicorn to find, harder than a TRD Pro and we know how hard it was to find a TRD Pro in a tundra and tacoma the 1st year excluding the 5-10k markups most dealers will add.

I would totally go for a Land Cruiser if you could get the mid trim with the retro round headlights. Heritage blue. I'd rather have the Toyo AT3s than the silly Michelins but that can be swapped.

GX550 Overtrail is looking good also, my only reservation is I would rather the interior where a little more rugged to match the exterior styling. I never really have felt like I'm a "Lexus guy" its a little too plush, but the 4Runner Pro is a bit too loud (would have been all over it when I was 20).... LC styling feels just right.

The headlights cant be a difficult swap. I bet those get traded a lot once these start hitting the streets. I agree with you, rounds are where its at but I hate the black plastic on the low end trim

Yeah hopefully that won’t be the case this turn. I won’t have to deal with mark up but I will have to deal with waiting for my dealer to get an allocation and hope it is a nice color.

Modify it and you are looking at mpg in low teens lol. But who cares, these things don't get good gas mileage.

Barebone Overtrail, only with the $350 Nori green option.

This is how I buy pretty much everything. You can great shoe deals on Amazon if you’ll take the colors nobody else wants.

I mean the 4Runner and Land Cruiser with the iForce MAX are far better mileage than the turbo 6. To get 23 combined vs 17 is 35% better… but that Nori Green… it’s beautiful.

    We're thinking Trailhunter in Mudbath.
The wife has a Gobi Jeep and really likes that color.
