Air filter w/ foam backing

    I cannot find the original thread, but some people were reporting 17801-38051 might have been discontinued, all they can find was the skinnier one with no foam backing. I ordered 17801-38051 online over the weekend through my local dealer website. This is what I got.

    Probably, the consensus is it is better with the foam.

    My old man brain tells me the foam probably restricts the air flow just a bit more than the other .
