Hey folks, new around here. Hello!

I've got an '07 4Runner Sr5 with ~166k miles. Noticed some ground drip on the driver's side. Took a look and there's a fair amount of... something leaking. Maybe oil? But it doesn't feel very oily to the touch. Attaching a pic here. I also have a video, but doesn't look like that's an uploadable format. Can anyone identify that part? It might be that hose that's leaking.

Also, maybe unrelated, I opened up the engine oil cap- it smelled of gasoline and there was some smoke swirling around (just after driving). That normal?

    Thanks!

Looks like it may be from area of rubber hose where clamp is? If it’s an original hose it could be there

That's what it looks like to me too, but any idea what that part is? Or what the fluid is?

Looks like the power steering (rack and pinion leaking)?, it takes ATF fluid (dexron III) I believe. Check the power steering fluid level

The position of the clamp looks a little low on the fitting, may try to reposition the clamp a hair higher..may help..looks like a low pressure return line

The power steering fluid was indeed low. I repositioned the clamp and topped off. Will give it another look in a couple days. Thank you to those who chimed in!

To find exactly where the leak is, clean all the leaking fluid off of everything shown in your photo with brake cleaner, then check it a couple of times every day until you can see where the leak is or if it's indeed fixed, if moving the clamp failed to solve the issue, then you can proceed to attempt to fix it!!
