No worries man, appreciate hearing different perspectives. You'll be happy with Dobinsons, they make great quality products from what I have observed. I will say that I've seen more OMEs in my area than anything else though, and none of what you mentioned. For context, I have been working on Toyotas for almost 30 years so I have a pretty good mental database :D. Also, those springs in your picture don't look powder coated like the recent ones I've handled. These are from a purchase a couple of months ago and still say made in Australia. Maybe they're NOS and I got lucky?

Mine looked more painted than powder coated. Alumihyde from Brownells would probably last longer. Hard to use and long curing time for epoxy coating, but like bed liner.

    Good observation.

My old springs always said made in Australia as well and I never had problems with them personally. No spring sag or springs breaking on my rig! Overall I've been happy with OME and I still think they represent a great value. If I thought they were junk I wouldn't be selling my take-offs; I'd just trash them instead.

Hopefully it's just bad timing that the shop has seen a few break recently? OME has a great reputation in the community.

Can you do me a favor and open the box and see if they're marked with an "x" on the part number tag? I'm not sure if OME is still doing that.. But I noticed the the broken ones in the picture are marked with that "x"

The "x" from what I understand was OME's way of marking products that had the old spring sag issue addressed. Since that issue popped up years ago could the x indicate the broken one's were actually old?

Mine were Australia to I believe. IIf I should ever break one I will use originals or Bilstein. Sometimes things better left alone so more problems aren't created. I hate to make it less dependable

I don't recall an x, but it's been a few weeks since I assembled them. BTW, they're mated to IMS59-50574s so I'll be the guinea pig for you and definitely let you know if they break!

Nice setup! How do you like them and how much weight are you running up front?

Lots of times these torsional stress fatigue failures stem from junk in the steel. This junk acts as a stress concentration and crack initiator. Once the crack forms, the specific crack propagation characteristics of the metal come into play. Titanium alloys will survive a long while. Steel alloy, not so much. Surface conditions also are important.
