This is all new to me so please be gentle if this is just dumb of me....

After installing the Ironman4x4 Foam Cell Pro system on my 5th gen, along with all the other new parts, I started making the spreadsheet for the new curb weight. In looking again at Ironman's description of the Foam Cell kit, I discovered my understanding (assumptions) about their product description might be wrong.

All of the options use the words "Additional Payload," where I believe they really should not.

After much back and forth on chat with Ironman support, I clarified that there is no additional payload added with the use of their system. The GVWR does not change just by installing their parts. Some of you may think this is obvious, as all the other parts that make up the trucks ability to carry shit didn't change, but when it says "0-110 lbs Additional Payload," it didn't seem unreasonable to me to assume that I could add 110 lbs to the stock stated GVWR. It's just not very much.

However, I believe it should actually say something like "Supports 0-110 lbs Constantly Used Payload." It's not adding payload, just accounting for weight being moved from the stock payload capacity to the new curb weight.

I said something about "false advertising" in the chat...so they stopped talking to me. :lalala:

A couple of people a year confuse it and think they're getting extra payload but they're not. We use constant load terminology
