Hi, just purchased 2020 Limited with the smart key. Those up and down arrow buttons on the liftgate do not roll window up or down neither lock/unlock the car. The inside switch for rolling window down works properly as well as all locks. I tried to search everywhere, checked fuses and so on but could not find any solution. Anyone has an idea what to do?

    Thank you!

Let's rule out the basics first:

The key fob has a live battery and will lock/unlock doors when you push the buttons on it?

Next, you do have the key fob, with live battery, on your person when pressing and holding the down arrow on the hatch to attempt the rolling down of the rear glass?

Hi, yes that is correct. Locks work, I can open the lift gate using the handle as well as both front locks with the key fob on me.

There's a receiver for FOB signal under the center of carpet in the back, but I think it's simpler than that. Read your owners manual. Make sure hatch is shut completely.

I did read the manual, also tried to search the entire internet and tried all the tricks but still cannot make it work. Was thinking if the previous owner had it deactivated for some reason? I beliave it is to new to have the wires broken going to the rear gate or anything like that.

Yeah and you never know who has been inside what either. It's easy to remove the hatch panel yourself. Snap together and a 10mm bolt if you want to check the plug and test the wires. I didn't know about the manual. Most people don't read it anyway. I'm learning things about 5th gen as I go from experience. I have a tech on messenger and I can maybe ask him. If it's a problem usually you see it at the dealer multiple times.

Don't throw parts at it. That's what you do driving a Dodge, but I love em. It's been my experience that is simpler than you think. All the technology is creating more problems, but they are still pretty simple.
