same here, thought I would just do lift, wheels and tires. Next thing I know I’m looking at armor, bumpers, etc lol, I wouldn’t do those anytime soon. But yea going down that rabbit hole is no joke. I upgraded my bump stops when I installed the lift, I got the Perry parts front and rear, their pricing was hard to beat and the testing hes done is pretty legit. I figure I’m lifting it higher then stock, makes sense to get longer bump stops. I’ve seen people just extend their factory bump stops with washers. It help prevent shocks/struts from bottoming out and cushion the harder impacts. If you have time research on bump stops and see if it’s worth the upgrade in the near future.

Did you get the regular size or long travel bump stops from Perry Parts?

I just installed mine yesterday and experienced the same thing. It was like 3.75-4” out of the box and alarming lol. I Dialed it down to 2”. Let it parked in the garage for a few hours then did a short test drive and it came down to 1.5”. I readjusted this morning at about 2.25” driver and 2.375” passenger. Going for an alignment this morning and I’m hoping to end up at the 2” mark. I figure between alignment and some more settling they’ll end up at 2”.

All done. Ended up with about 2” after alignment up front and 1-1.25” in the back. I’m happy with it.

Looks great! I was definitely confused after seeing how high it was after initial install. I would not have thought they’d set it that high from factory plus I was unsure of how much settling typically occurs. Thankfully this forum and community of members exists to share their thoughts/experience.

I forgot to ask, you know how often those ball joints need to be greased?

I’m not 100% certain but I read another member doing it every other oil change with no problems.

At least it’s the ball joints are easy to access, so it’s not too big of a deal. It’s like greasing the driveshafts/propeller shafts but easier.
