    Greetings,

I installed a new power brake booster on my 1996 4Runner. In the process of disconnecting the clevis and spring from the brake pedal, a mystery part dropped onto the floorboard. I have looked and looked and can't figure out where it came from. It's some sort of split rubber bushing about an inch long. Can anyone identify it? Thanks!

Thanks, yeah, I saw those but mine is longer and skinnier. It's soft too, and looks like it could be a wire entry bushing. I'll get under there and look some more.

    Possibly a split firewall grommet.
