Nah it wasn't a troll by Forbes. Maybe it was to see initial reactions by Toyota and Forbes... but that is it.

I think they call it D-4S so it's both most likely so no carbon build maybe on the intake valves ??

Terrible proportions. Looks like an old pathfinder.

    zero 4Runner pedigree

Maybe I am confused but the busy and multiple sharp lines make me think of Bumble bee the Transformer. A bit itchy on the eyes but maybe it just takes time to get used to it. Maybe it actually is a transformer?

I guess I gotta watch a video where Ahmed says what it is. I think he did a 4th gen Taco video so I gotta revisit that.

Man I like it. I knew it would be a SUV Taco and honestly I like it. Only think I don't like is the black fender flares. But it does have a modern and tough look to it.

Would it have been so hard for Toyota to separate the 4runner from the LCP in a positive way?
-Worse styling (subjective, if you like it that's great)
    -Lower quality (expectation)
    -Less power
Instead of kicking the 4runner down could they at least give it a manual transmission or a something that the LC doesn't have. It does have the rear window, so they got that right.

Not that I see, either Toyota forgot about the 4runner (wouldn't be off brand), or they are going publish it at the mark

Yep according to MSMBC it'll be made in Tahara, of course according to them it's the first redesign in 25 years. So take it with a grain of salt.

Guess I was wrong about the COE being Mexico. Interesting...

I don’t know why everyone is surprised. It looks like the Tacoma. Like it always has.

Glad it will still be made in Japan, lack of hood struts...really? Power liftgate is a nice addition, rear legroom looks possibly much reduced like speculated.
